When it comes to eating right, Giada De Laurentits lives by one simple rule: Eat a little bit of everything, and not a lot of anything. It’s a lifestyle philosophy that she shares, whether cooking at home for her family, or at her new restaurant, Giada, inside The Cromwell. “We even have a vegan and gluten-free menu,” she says. “Everyone should enjoy good food.” Her advice to home cooks is “to keep it simple. That’s all I try to do with my cookbooks—keep the ingredient list low and the directions and method as easy as possible to read. Cooking should be fun.”
